This course is an introduction to the CAD tools and navigational environment. You will learn to use and understand the basic CAD commands that are the building pillars of designing with computers.

After this intensive class you will be able to start working within the CAD environment and know how to start modeling some basic shapes.

This class will also give you the ability to further explore the CAD tools with more in depth understanding.

During this course you will start to design jewelry models with the help of your instructor to better understand the basic commands and tools and the power of using CAD in the world of designing jewelry.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Introduction to CAD. Exploration of the CAD tools and possibilities.

General understanding of the CAD designing and editing tools.

Navigation within the CAD environment.

Basic modeling with Cartesian coordinates.

First drawing steps. Curves, Circles, Ellipses, Arcs and Polygons.

Basic object selection.

Use of basic transformation commands.

Precision modeling tools.

Building surfaces and solids.

Projects: Building of basic jewelry models.
