COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This class is designed for the beginner or for someone with some experience that wants a more in depth understanding of the way that professional laboratories examine diamonds. The G.I.A. grading system is explained in detail. Students examine many diamonds as the instructor points out the characteristics of each. Students are introduced to the "tools of the trade" such as loupe, microscope, Leveridge Gauge, master stones and U.V. lamp. Students work with this instruments and real diamonds.
